Laser Welding Empowers New Energy Battery Manufacturing
With the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle industry, manufacturing requirements for battery packs have become increasingly stringent. Laser welding has emerged as an indispensable key process in battery pack production due to its high precision, minimal heat-affected zone, and seamless automation compatibility.
During the tab welding process, laser welding enables reliable joining of dissimilar copper and aluminum materials, with weld width precisely controlled within 0.1 mm to effectively reduce contact resistance. In the busbar connection stage, the high-speed capability of laser welding reduces the processing time per weld to 1/5 of that required for traditional TIG welding.
Our laser welding equipment has been validated on production lines at leading battery manufacturers, maintaining a welding yield of over 99.2%.
